Originally planned as a 39 episode TV series (3 seasons), the show was cancelled prematurely. The complete story is considered to have 34 episodes, however episodes 31 and 33-34 didn't receive a TV airing and were only released on LD and later on DVD. There are also episodes 35-39 and the screenplay plus storyboards for those were released in an anime magazine. It is unknown if the finished versions of these episodes were released.
