About : Zan, known as Slash in some dubs, is an evil entity that arose due to the desperation of the En's sister, while she remained paralyzed for several decades in the Needle Tower. In the anime, Zan is responsible for destroying En and his sister's homeland. He is also the one who spreads the Awakening Poison and creates the Troublemaking Monsters. Zan is an anime-exclusive character, but makes a brief appearance in the manga during a flashback about the En and his sister's backstory in chapter 27....
