About : Chief Inspector Furano appears in Episode #4 "The Golden Dawn". He's quick tempered and distrusts everybody, nabbing the innocent Megumi Otsuka when he heard she was pregnant with police officer turned nightbreed Taki Ryuichi's baby. He even went so far as to arrest Shido and Yayoi when they intercepted him. He's also an idiot, since, after he sees Shido use his blood sword, grab Megumi, and run up the side of a building, all he has to say is "This is crazy." (source: Absolute Anime)
