About : Maximum, also known as King Maximum, is an antagonist of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai manga and anime series. Created by Vearn himself, he is an animated chess piece made of Orichalcum, just like the Hadlar Royal Guards, as they originally all belonged to the same chess set. Maximum was given command over the remaing ten pieces, who followed his orders like will-less puppets, and appointed as guard of Vearn's personal palace. (Source: Dragon Quest Wiki)
